Jeff Connell – Afternoons

Hey, I’m Jeff, and thanks for listening to 101.5 HANK FM and driving home with me weekday afternoons.

I grew up in Renton and graduated from Renton High School in 1997 – man, time goes by so quickly – which means we had a front-row seat when country music absolutely exploded in Seattle.

I’ve been lucky enough to spend a lot of years in radio, including back in the day at 94.1 KMPS and even the old Young Country 96.5 experiment – if you remember that one, congratulations, you were part of something very unique.

What I’ve always loved most is the music – great country songs just hit different. They can make you laugh, remember an old friend or relationship, miss somebody, or roll the windows down and sing at the top of your lungs on the drive home.  A few of my favorites, Brooks & Dunn, Josh Turner, Travis Tritt, and Mary Chapin Carpenter would be near the top of the list, but honestly, if it’s a great song, I’m probably a fan.

When I’m not hanging out with you on HANK, you’ll usually find me spending time with my son, Colton, who is starting his freshman year at Boise State University. As a lifelong WSU Cougar fan, having a Bronco in the family will take some getting used to.

I’m excited to be home in Seattle, playing music I love for people who love it as much as I do.

Thanks for spending your afternoons with me on 101.5 HANK FM. Let’s turn it up and have some fun, and please reach out anytime!
