Snohomish, WA – On Monday, October 23rd, morning show hosts Jen Pirak and Curt Kruse made a surprise visit to Totem Falls Elementary School to honor Ms. Shari Glover as STAR 101.5’s Teacher of the Week.

Ms. Glover is a 5th grade teacher at Totem Falls Elementary School. Along with being named STAR 101.5’s Teacher of the Week, she was presented with gifts from the Washington State Potato Commission and McDonalds. She also received an award plaque, and a check for $101.5 from the station to help pay for classroom supplies.

She was nominated for this award by a parent who had a child in Ms. Glovers’ class last year. That parent said Ms. Glover cares about each student as if they were her own child and that, “The love, support, encouragement I witnessed her give so many students last year was really touching.”

When talking about the honor and the surprise visit to her classroom, Ms. Glover said, “it was shocking, fun, overwhelming; it was a little bit of everything”. She said her favorite part of being a teacher is spending time with her students while seeing them enjoy learning and grasping new concepts.
